Ministry Update

Dear Friends,

With the summer drawing to an end, we are shifting gears with all our ministries.  The DMT students from the USA all went home around the 5th of August and Carolyn and I took the Mexican students home a few days afterward.  Our trip with the Mexican students was a long 2500 mile trip through 6 states, but it gave me a chance visit many of our pastors along the way.  We are already preparing for the next DMT that starts on January 25th.  This years class was great with ten students total.  Some of those students are returning to becoming full time missionaries working with us.  If you are interested in being part of the school next year you can contact Roger orDennis.

This summer we were joined on the field by six short term teams.  With those groups we were able to finish some work projects, do VBS in all of our churches in the area, and minister through out Dr Arroyo with our door to door visitation and hospital ministry.  You can see the team blogs from all the groups here.

All of our missionaries continue to do well.  Some will use the next couple of months when things are less busy in Mexico to visit supporters in the States. I will be traveling in the States visiting our partners and supporting churches also.  I still have several groups and a pastor's conference in Mexico during the fall months, but I hope to be able to visit many of you as well.  If you would like me or one of our missionaries to come and visit, drop me an email and we will do our best to get it set up.  Each one of you enable us to continue touching lives, building churches, and giving the children in the orphanage a new life.  Your prayers and financial gifts make everything we do possible.  I pray the remainder of this year will be great for each of you.

Casa Dayspring

The children's home is doing great.  We are finally being contacted by a number of area municipalities about children that need help.  We recently received a 14 year old that had been deserted by his mother and had been sleeping in the city plaza.  He had been molested by a neighbor and came with a lot of physiological issues from years of abuse and a learning disability.  He is learning to write and read in our school at the house.  Ivan, who came to us 4 years ago unable to read or write just finished his middle school and hopes to have high school  finished in another two years.  Of course the babies are as cute as ever and growing up safe and happy.

Our rented building is falling apart and the rent keeps going up.  It will no longer meet the new requirements with the state for children's homes.  We have purchased a new property down the street and are ready to begin a new building that will not only be safe but also hold the additional kids we know are coming.  We have a basic floor plan drawn up.  You can see that at this link.

Our lease is up the end of 2016.  We would like to be in the new building by then.  Please pray with us that the state officials will give us that time to meet the new building regulations.  Most of all we need prayer for finances to build the new facility.  Please remember this urgent need.   You can donate at the link below.  If you want to come and help with the project, let us know.  We are planning several work groups in the near future.
